Writing Moliere’s parody, Tartuffe, is a prime case

Writing
is the establishment of life. It puts significance on numerous points from
human tragedies to stories that talk about the search for love. While it is physically
composed of words, these words help enhance and build your vocabulary for the brain,
and its capacity to appreciate the understanding or straightforwardness of the
content.  The literature that I have read
connects with life and culture in so many ways, because of some stories. The
stories that I have read talk about optimism, hypocrisy, and nature. The
literature that portraits, each of these characteristics are Candide, Tartuffe, and The World Is Too Much
With Us. Voltaire’s
Candide was composed in the age of
enlightenment. Voltaire’s story is distributed in The Norton Anthology of World
Literature, Volume 2, Shorter Third Edition. Voltaire’s character, Pangloss, is
the optimistic person in the story, who talks about God. Pangloss is
additionally a guide to Candide, who is the important character of the novel.
Candide has a noble heart, but at the same time, he feels miserable in life. Pangloss encourages
Candide and tells him the world is the “best of all possible worlds.”
Pangloss had a positive perspective and confidence that the world was great,
and that God had created the world. With that being said, I had a car accident,
and a lady that I knew came over and told me, “Everything is going to be okay.”
The statement that Pangloss told Candide is true because there is still good in
the world no matter the circumstances. Pangloss positivity relates to life and
relates to todaybecause in that situation even though, I was in a state of shock
everybody that came to help told me, “Everything is going to be okay.” When I
thought it was not, being positive takes you far in life and I learned that
nobody wants to be around somebody who is negative all the time. At least, I
know I do not, but being optimistic about everything is the best way to move
forward in life. Moliere’s parody, Tartuffe, is a prime case of
his ability to manipulate people. The plot keeps the reader intrigued and
mindful. It starts with Madame Pernell going to her son Orgon’s home and
criticizing everyone except for their guest, Tartuffe. She trusts Tartuffe is a
man of astonishing character. The individuals from the house, in any case,
differ and say that Tartuffe is tricky and a cheat. After Madam Pernell exits,
Dorine and Cleante, the housekeeper and the stepbrother of Orgon, talk about Tartuffe
and both concur that he has charmed Orgon. With that being said, I have had
several friends that I thought were my friends deceive me by talking behind my
back. So, Tartuffe relates to real life by being a hypocrite, and a phony,
because there are people who are like that in the world. Pretending, to be
something they are not, for example; Tartuffe pretends to be this fake pious
person in front of Orgon, but he cannot fool everyone else. He only tries to
stay close to Orgon so, he can sleep with his wife Elmire. So, the moral of the
story is, it is best to watch who you keep around you as friends and who you
let in your home. Sometimes the people we call friends will betray you quicker
than your enemies.

The link amidst writing and life are close and
Important. Writing is the tool that connects to an individual and their social
life, because of the events that occur in the stories are close to real life.
While the topic and treatment must be general to the human interest, the
expression must be emotive; and the pattern must give amusement and
fulfillment. Learning to realize the connection between writing, life, and
culture has been a good experience for me. I learned a lot from reading stories
in class and looking at the importance that literature has to offer. Also, it
affects my daily life constantly because half of the subjects that were
discussed in the books, plays, and poems that we read are happening in today’s
society.
