Attrition in the
managerial staff happens in any company. This kind of organizational change can
have an effect on the manager’s immediate department and on all of the groups
that came into contact with the manager. Staff members look to management for
career development and as administrators of the company vision. To reduce the
emotional effects of losing a key manager and to maintain the corporate
culture, the company should determine if there is a qualified replacement
already on the staff. If someone needs to be hired from the outside, the
executive staff should introduce the new manager to the employees and indicate
that he has the complete support of company executives.

Competition

Competition in the
marketplace can trigger organizational change. For example, if the competition
begins to take market share from you because it offers on-site warranty work,
then you need to alter your organizational structure to accommodate a similar
service to stay competitive. The competitive nature of the marketplace plays a
large part in your business planning in the short term and in the long term.

Short-term changes include getting your support staff certified to match the
qualifications of the competition. Long-term changes can include new technology
and product introductions that will require shifts in company resources.

Cost Cutting

Cost cutting is a
process that leads to company changes. Some of the changes that come about from
cost cutting can be emotionally difficult on the staff. For example, when a
personnel audit determines that several positions within the company are doing
duplicate work, the layoffs used to eliminate those duplications are difficult
for employees that are terminated and those that remain. Cutting costs can
create organizational changes within the office as well. For example, if the
company decides to sublet part of its office space to offset facility costs, it
may ask employees to share desks to use the remaining office space.

Processes

Organizational
change to company processes are done to make the company more efficient. For
example, the Lean Manufacturing System is a systems analysis that eliminates
unnecessary processes and improves how a company uses materials. Implementing
the Lean Manufacturing System can lead to changes in the way the company orders
raw materials and employee layoffs. It may change the company’s shipping and
receiving schedule because of the change in purchasing and manufacturing habits
and can require a design change in the manufacturing division.

  

 

 

Breif introduction about the organization:
XYZ is an educational institution .it was established in 1997.it is located in
suburb area for from the city centre, most of the people were not aware about
this institution but it is well affiliated with abc board Delhi. Most of the
children got admitted in it ,where it is located. Well educated staff, much
facilities, extra curriculum activities, transportation facilities good
teaching methods. Gradually  , students
from city also got their admissions.  More
well educated staff were employed. Sports and games were introduced for
students. Institution was earning sound and slowly expanded also.

PROBLEM/ ISSUE :By the time in the middle
of its going, most of the teachers got turned over.

 Very
less admission.

 Result was not at all good

children’s study.

Aggressive behavior from student side.

 

 ANALYSING: later on, it was keenly analyzed by
the director of the institution. One by one he called every teacher in his
office and was asked for their perspective if thinking. Not only this, for
proper evaluation every class of the students were asked about their problems.

Even their parents were asked about their children’s behavior at home. This
evaluation leads to the root cause of less co-ordination among the teachers.

And the prime cause of less co-ordination was EGO. Sometime due to superiority,
status barrier, jealousy factors, they may arise to have grudges with their
colleagues. They made ever small mistake of teacher a big issue and complaint
very frequently. In some cases , old teachers , who are working from many years
may have some grudges with new teachers, about their soon securing that
position which old teachers may not have been able to secure. As a result, due
to less co-ordination or less mutual understanding among the teachers, out of frustration,
they decided to leave their jobs.

Simultaneously, students also due to less
period with their teachers may not been able to understand the teacher well. As
soon as students are able to maintain the co-ordination with his /her teacher,
their teacher turned down due to some problem with other teachers. Out of
consequences, students secured less numbers and tend to have bad results. This
can be the reason, student’s aggressive behavior in school as well as in their
homes. As students learns, what he has been taught or what he sees.

INTERVENTION: The head of the school
decided first to improve the inner spirit of every individual. As we see around
our self, people are very quick to get their ego hurt, they learn to vey short
tempered. So here the question arises how it can be controlled? In our past
time, most of the people used to be very cool and calm easy going kind. Because
they used t do  mediation.  Yes meditation was the new intervention
adopted by the head of the institution. In meditation we learn to control our
inner spirit of thinking, building positive mind, observing little things
shrewdly .Every morning, all the students and teachers were asked to work on
this method .

Along with after every midyear every
teachers was asked about their current going on and any kind of problem they
are facing. Students were also facilitated with recreational activities .This
lead to the overall good results.
