Social media has become the latest branding strategy for networking
techniques, job seeking tools and recruitment vehicles, it also becomes the
latest way for people to get job offers rescinded. Therefore, it’s important to
find ways to manipulate negative material that will impact my internship and
job search. For example, I would avoid posting: photos or discussions about
illegal activities even in a joking manner; angry or argumentative comments and
threads; offensive thoughts or images; images and updates that reference a
focus on partying.
