Segmentation and paging is logical division of the

Segmentation is the physical division of
the memory and paging is logical division of the memory that means paging
doesn’t deal with what is present in a program, whereas
segmentation does. For example, if a program contents loops and code, their
pages should keep together which is deal with segmentation because it the
physical division of the memory together rather than having fixed pages sized. In
terms of size pages contents fix size, where as segments are in different
sizes. There are many differences between paging and segmentation but there are
things that are also common. For example, regardless of insufficient memory both
of them allows the program to run and both are stored in a disk. Both pages and
segmentation are transferred into memory when they need to.
