            The issue that we choose for the rhetoric action is animal welfare.  According to OIE (World Organization for Animal Health) animal welfare is how an animal is coping with the condition in which it live. A good state of animal welfare is an animal that is healthy, comfortable, well nourished, safe, able to express innate behaviour and not suffering from the unpleasant states such as fear, pain and distress. (2007) animal welfare is very important as animal is important to the ecosystem on out earth, therefore they should be given a good care as well as being protected from human activities such as development.

1.1 Title – “Join the Zootopians!”

The title that we named as “Join the Zootopians!” It is because we want to encourage the public to lend a hand to offer the kindness to the wildlife which is to be a volunteer in the Farm in the city. Our slogan is “Be a Volunteer! Be a Zootopians!”  It is used to inspire the public to join the activity as be a part of the volunteer to giving a good care for the animals. Besides, this is also want to create the awareness of wildlife conservation to the public while they are willing to be a part of the volunteer.  It is meaningful for the volunteer to have a chance to get in touch with the animal that not often found in their daily life.

1.2 Rhetoric Purpose

Our purpose is we wish to persuade people to initiate their action to be a part of the volunteer and start to look out for the animals that need help and offer help to the animals. Besides, we this purpose also support by another purpose which is explaining the important of animal welfare to the public.

1.3 The proof of Rhetoric

During the persuasion, we would like to highlight on pathos to persuade our target audiences. The reason that we use pathos is we wish to create the emotional feeling among them by showing some videos and information about the process of animal rescue to make them feel sympathy on the endanger wildlife and also let the target audience feel that they might need to do something to help that animal. Meanwhile, it will also evoke the feeling of love among the animal and the target audience while they being a volunteer for the animal welfare.

2 Investigate and gathering information about the issue

2.1 Information on Pathos

            During the persuasion, we would to like to have a talk about the animal welfare to the audience who attend to the talk and show the video during the talk. We have shown the video about the animal that were going to extinct because of being hunting by human and also because of war that cause the wildlife lost their shelter. Through the video the audiences will feel sympathy for the animal when they know the animal lost their life because of human desires.
